The Saudi Arabia-led Arab coalition on Saturday (13-6-2020) intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia toward civilian targets in the Saudi border city of Najran.

Coalition spokesperson Col. Turki Al-Maliki said some civilians were slightly injured by falling debris but said the attack did not result in any deaths.

The missile was launched from the Yemeni city of Saadah, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted Col. Al-Maliki as saying.
The coalition intervened in Yemen in March 2015 to try to restore the internationally-recognized government to power in Sanaa, after it was ousted from the capital by the Houthis in late 2014.
