Mekkah and Madina Curfew
Minsitry of Interior announced that there will be 24 hour curfew in the city of Mekkah and Madinah. this curfew will be imposed in all parts of both cities.
Kingdom take this action to confront to corona virus pandemic and following the recommendations of health authorities to increase the preventive and precautionary measures to preserve the safety and health of the citizens and residents in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- The curfew will be effective in all parts of the cities of Mekkah and Madinah for the duration of 24 hours a day, with continuing the ban of entering and exiting from both cities as of today until further notice. This restriction will not be effective for medical staff & security and Food supplies.
- within the norroest scope residents of both cities of Mekkah & Madinah are allowed to leave their homes to meet necessary needs such as health care and food supply within the neighborhood where they reside, during the period from 6:00 AM till 3:00 PM.
During this time only adults are allowed to go out of home in case of necessary needs to ensure that children are not exposed to causes the transmission.
- Restricting vehicle transportation within the residential neighborhood of the cities of Mekkah and Madinah. Only one person is allowed with driver to reduce the contact.
- Any commercial activities with in the neighborhood of both cities of Mekkah and Madinah is not allowed, except pharmacies, food supply stores, gas stations and banking services.
The Ministry of Interior called all the citizens and residents to use express delivery services through smart devices applications to request medicine and food other needs delivered to their homes.
Ministry assured the people these measure are taken with in the scope of Kingdom efforts to ensure public health and safety.
